Things Learned with Grapes

Catchy title huh?

Now that I got your attention, a couple musings of what was the last week:

On Saturday morning Dad and I loaded up the Toyota Camry and hit the road for Regent...our mission: To secure and start the 1975 Monte Carlo (not the exact car but a near replica) and return it to its new home on Valley Drive. Our mission went well, the car is a gem I tell you, probably more in a sentimental way than in a car way, but the goal is to have it ready for a parade....sometime soon!

It was a good trip, alone time with dad is always great, even if there are not much words said. Something about a father and his son hanging out and just catching up, pushing forward and that good stuff. A fulfilling day to say the least.

Regent was Regent, I didn't miss it and I sure sensed that dad didn't miss it. Granted, it's obvious he misses the friendships he's built over the years but other than that...in, car, burgers and out......just the way we like it.

Raumi, her mother Lisa, and Raumi's boss, Carol went to town painting on Sunday. The entry way and great room (whats so great about it.....??) look different and as always, Raumi is putting here best "eye" forward. The woman is simply amazing when it comes to this stuff. (not only this stuff but this warrants mentioning)

Kelsen and I pretty much hung out Sunday, went for a swim at Gustafson's (water was too cold), then went home for a nap. I didn't nap.... Kelsen did, I worked on the surround sound and "acted" like I was busy in the garage (ate freeze pops and watched the Twins bullpen blow yet another lead).

Take care

Sorry about not adding any new pictures. I was going to download some Sunday but the batteries in the camera were dead.

Note: Don't buy Energizer rechargeable...they are filthy expensive and don't work.

DRINK TONIGHT FOR TOMORROW WE RIDE!
